Good land preparation is the foundation of a good crop. Two of the most popular primary tillage implements in Pakistan are the rotavator and the disc harrow — and each has its place.
Rotavator
A rotavator uses PTO-driven rotating blades to cut, mix and pulverise the soil in one pass, producing a fine, level seedbed. It is well suited to mixing crop residue into the soil and preparing fields quickly for sowing.
Disc harrow
A disc harrow uses gangs of concave discs pulled through the soil to break clods and cut residue. It covers ground quickly and is a robust choice for breaking up hard or freshly ploughed land.
Which one should you choose?
Green Land Engineers manufactures rotavators, global disc harrows and tandem disc harrows in Daska. Tell us your tractor, soil type and crop, and our team will recommend the right implement.
- Need a fine seedbed in fewer passes? A rotavator is often the better fit.
- Breaking hard ground or working large areas fast? Consider a disc harrow.
- Many farms use both — a disc harrow first, then a rotavator before sowing.
